I just want to start by thanking all of my GTS friends for lighting candles for my little ones and
my Dad. It means so much to know that they are in safe hands whilst i have been away.
I also want to appologise for the sever lack of my candle lighting....i have been through a tough
time and i just needed to focus on my son, husband and myself for a while.
We sadly lost my husbands auntie a few weeks ago and she was such a wonderful lady that believed as
we all do on GTS in Angels and heaven, she helped me immensley in coping with the losses of my loved
ones.
I also lost my father...this may seem strange as i have a memorial for my Dad on GTS. The wonderfaul
man i call Dad was really my grandfather, but he and my grandmother brought me up. If it wasn't for
them i wouldn't be the person i am today.....i could never thank them enough for what they have done
and continue to do.
My father is my blood father, but i didn't really know him that well. Through my own choice i
decided not to continue seeing him, and i guess i had a hard time dealing with that.
My wonderful husband is also away in Afghan and i am worried sick about him as i am sure you can
imagine....he won't be home until 03/10, so the poor thing will be missing Christmas with his
family.

Angel was concieved June 2008 and was due to enter this world on March 6th 2009.
He was concieved the first time we tried, and felt truly blessed. We had our first scan booked at
9weeks gestation and we both felt nervous as i had been pregnant 4 times before and we only have our
10 year old son Joshua. But when we saw the first tiny flickering of his heartbeat our love for him
was sealed. We were given a due date of around 6th March 2009. Time went on and i was blessed with
having only a touch of nausea, but i was having constant pelvic and back pain. However, i felt that
was little to put up with. We then went for a 13 week scan as i was having very slight bleeding, we
were obviously very nervous, but we didn't need to be because there was our little baby jumping away
on the screen. On thursday the 11th September whilst eating my evening meal i felt the tiny
fluttering of my baby, it went on for nearly a minute - a proper little gymnast. It was the most
beautiful feeling and my hand went instintively and protectively to my newly noticeable bump. I was
15weeks and 5days.

I had stopped feeling my little one move on saturday 27th September, i was 18 weeks 3days. I told my
husband that i was a bit concerned that baby hadn't moved...he seemed to think that little one was
asleep. Eventhough i knew he was wrong, i chose to believe him, as i just didn't want to think the
worst. I still think now..it was some form of self preservation...preparing me for the nightmare and
horror i was about to live.

I had a routine anomally scan booked for tuesday 30th September, but i went to the hospital alone as
i thought it was my kidney scan...i wrote the wrong dates in my diary. It was then that i learnt
that our baby had died in utero, at a gestation of 18weeks and 3 days. I was on my own when i learnt
of this devastating news. But due to working in the hospital i was able to call on a colleague who i
now regard as a very wonderful and close friend. Philippa was there to hold my hand and give me a
hug as the tears and sadness flowed. Words cannot express how much it meant to me and my husband to
have her there - a true friend. On friday 3rd October 2008 at 11.40pm after being induced, i gave
birth to a beautiful and perfect baby boy. I held onto my wonderful husband as i silently pushed our
sleeping son into a world he will never know. As i held him i looked into his beautiful blue eyes
and a piece of my heart was lost forever, he had perfect fingers and toes and the most beautiful
button nose. He looked just like his brother, just tiny. He weighed just 150grams, and was 10 inches
long. But perfect, thats why we decided to name him Angel. We were told that the umbilical cord was
wrapped tight around his neck twice and this was the probable cause of his death. However, due to
having previous miscarriages we decided to have a post mortem carried out. We said a final goodbye
to Angel on Thursday 23rd October at 09.30hrs at Swindon crematorium. His Mummy, Daddy, Uncle Tom,
Auntie Marie and Angel's mummy's dearest friend Symone were there, who i held onto for dear life as
with Philippa, Symone has helped me through this awful heartbreaking pain. He was placed in a
beautiful white coffin with his name on. Angels big brother Joshua chose a blue nose elephant to go
with him on his journey, he wanted his baby brother to have something to play with. His Uncle Tom,
Auntie Marie and cousins Courtney, Emily and Jack also gave Angel a blue elephant (spookey) to take
with him. The funeral service was beautiful, just like our little Angel.

We have since recieved the results of Angels post mortem and it told us that there was nothing wrong
with him or me. For reasons unknown Angels heart just stopped. He was a perfectly formed baby boy,
who was just to good for this world. He is now one of gods precious Angels....and will forever be
our Angel from above.
We love you and miss you every single day our beautiful boy.
